What Is Gem Mining?
Gem mining is the act of sifting through mining rough, which is typically made of sand or soil, for gemstones and/or fossils. You will purchase a bag of mining rough from the gem mining attraction, then take it to an artifical water channel known as a sluice and begin sifting through the rough for hidden gems. After all the rough is washed away in the sluice, you will be left with a handful of clean gems to take home with you.
