Dollywood is a must when you visit Pigeon Forge. There is so much to do there! From seasonal festivals to shops and restaurants, you’ll never run out of things to do here! But sometimes you can’t all enjoy the rides together.
So, to remedy that problem, here are 5 family friendly rides for you to go on when you visit Dollywood.
1. FireChaser Express
This family roller coaster, FireChaser Express, is the perfect ride for the family that seeks thrills together. With a fire truck theme, this roller coaster doesn’t take you on as many loops and large drops, but you will go backward at one point! The height requirement for this ride is lower than most roller coasters, so anyone that is 39 inches or taller, or roughly 3 feet 3 inches, can ride this roller coaster.
2. Blazing Fury
The Blazing Fury is underground, something you don’t see often at theme parks. You can fit about two people into each seat, so if you have a family of four this is the best ride for you! That and if it’s a hot day, a break from the heat is a welcome change and since the Blazing Fury is underground, the temperature is cooler. The minimum height requirement for this ride is 42 inches, or 3 feet 6 inches.
3. Demolition Derby
Get ready to release all your pent up road rage at the Demolition Derby! This fun ride allows families to ram cars into each other, and into other visitors as well! Chase your family down as you try to ram into them while avoiding other people. By the time this whole ride is done, not only will you feel better but you will also be laughing because of how much fun you had! You must be at least 42 inches tall to ride this, or 3 feet 6 inches.
4. Smoky Mountain River Rampage
The River Rampage is guaranteed to cool you down quickly! Make sure all your electronics and your wallet are in plastic baggies before you get on this ride, so you won’t need to worry about getting them wet! The whole family can ride together, or you can split up into smaller groups and meet some new people when you get paired up with them in your rafts. The minimum height for this ride is 36 inches, or 3 feet.
5. The Scrambler
The country fair is full of great family rides, and since you will probably be getting off the bumper cars at some point in the day, you can walk just a few feet over to the Scrambler. You can fit about three people in a cart, but that’s with two kids in mind. Normally you can fit two people comfortably in the cart. You’ll be whipped around in this ride. Be prepared to slam into each other and laugh the entire time! Minimum height required for this ride is 36 inches, or 3 feet.
