When you are spending time in Gatlinburg, you’ll quickly realize that it’s easiest to park your car in a single location for the day, then go explore the area. If you park close to the Gatlinburg Parkway, where the majority of the restaurants and attractions are located, parking can cost you $10+ for the day. Plus, if you’re planning to spend more than one day in Gatlinburg, that cost can really add up when you’re driving and parking in different parking lots throughout the day.
You will love the Gatlinburg trolley because you can park and just get out and explore. When you’re ready to take a break and stop walking, catch a ride on the trolley! It’s that easy!
2. The Gatlinburg trolley is cheaper than driving your car.
To take a ride on the Gatlinburg trolley, the fare price depends on where you’re going. If you want to catch a single ride, costs vary from 50 cents to $1. We find that it’s best to purchase an unlimited ride pass for $2 per day. This way, if you decide to catch another ride later in the day, you’ll be able to easily hop on any of the Gatlinburg trolleys.
3. The Gatlinburg trolley is free in the summer!
Each year, the Gatlinburg trolley runs free, open-air shuttles from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. This year, from June 17-August 14, 2016, you can catch a ride on the free shuttle! There’s a special route for these trolleys, but they can get you where you need to be in Gatlinburg! If you’re visiting during the free rides season, be sure to take advantage of it!
